Constant crashing after ~20 minutes of gameplay due to graphics/driver failure

Without fail, my game will crash every ~20 minutes or so (give/take) of gameplay.

As far as I can tell this is due to the graphics drivers failing. It comes up with this error:

directx function "DX11 Renderer::tryMap" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically reomved from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti ", Driver: 358991. This error is usually casued by the graphics driver crashing; try intsalling the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported grpahics card with at least 2GB.

I have a nvidia GTX 780 Ti, and have updated to the latest drivers (359.00), but the exact same issue was also happening on 358.91 and 358.50 version of the drivers prior to updating. My partner is also getting the same issue on her GTX 560 Ti, so its not an isolated issue and is happening to both of us.

Is there any solution to this issue?

    Shut down Peek on windows 10 fix it for me ..

    Welcome to the club... it obviously doesn't happen to the majority but it's definitely happening to a lot of People. And it has nothing to do with minimum specs.

    i got the same thing as well.. AMD R9 3series over here.

    turned on Vsync as suggested in your other thread.

    Same here. I have an R9 200 with the Beta drivers and no love.

    Setting Vsync to "on" doesn't work.

    NEED A SOLUTION BEFORE I TURN MY ATTN ELSEWHERE

    I have this same issue, hopefully we will get a fix soon.

    EDIT: This issue is most likely related to GPU overheating or being overclocked too much. I used EVGA Precision X software to change my fan curve so that the fan spins faster making the GPU run cooler and now I played for two hours without problems.

    I get the same Error after 5-10 min gameplay. Doesnt matter at which settings, resolution or refreshrate( 60 hz,120 hz, 1080p, 1440p..) .. I use 2 GTX 680 SLI

    Same here

    Running a GTX 660

    Funny enough, I wasn't having this problem with my crappy AMD HD 5570(It was like playing a glitchy ps2 game though)

    If you have nvidia driver version 359.06 and have SLI enabled: disable it.

    Or you can roll back nvidia driver to version 359.00 and enable SLI again.

    Your choice!

    P.S.: Try to reduce, or just avoid, overclocking your GPU (run at stock configuration). Try also disable Origin in game (on screen overlay). When you are about to install nvidia drivers, click on advanced installation, check box "clean installation" and uncheck 3D Vision software/driver stuff (two itens).
