I am experiencing the exact same issues with Xbox 360 controller, can only get the left stick to work. The controller(s) are working fine in all other origin games I have. I have tried:
Unplugging and replugging the controller.
Restarting the game.
Unplugging and replugging the controller while in-game.
Switch the controller to another Xbox 360 controller.
So far no luck.
XboxOne controller i have similar issues. In menus the back 🍺 button wont work properly it wont work or acts like confirm (A) button. Ingame pause/strat button doesn't work at all. Switching on/off fixes it for brief moment and then it goes haywire again. Only way to fix it is running Origin as a non-steam game in Steam and then with their controller config it works perfectly with XboxOne and DualShock 4 controllers. Hopefully this will be patched out quick its quite annoying.
- @PantherIV I cant get it to work that way either. I have never had any problems with games. Even the most indie games work with my controller and yet here we have a AAA experience that doesnt even let you control the character. Massive failure.
