Crashing right after it says to press any button

What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. Just waiting for the game to load.
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. I suppose main menu but it was more of a starting issue.

What happens when the bug occurs? It acts as if its switching my game to full screen even though I never let it go out of windowed.

What components were you using? Proccessor AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6core processor. Ram 16gb windows 10 latest update on 9/2/2020

There are no crash reports, I open the game, it runs for a few minutes. With the help of some of the online forms, we where able to get it to play the intro.
Past the intro once it asks me to press any key to move forward.
I do so, and then very shortly after that it crashes while it is trying to load the next screen.
The amount of forms and things I have attempted to try to get this game to work is ridiculous.
Please help. There is no reason my computer I just built should be having this many issues but my boyfriends computer which is 10 years old runs the game just fine.
