Curved Lightsaber Customization

Curved Lightsaber hilts I think would be a great addition to the customization of lightsabers. It is very iconic, and I think a lot of us would like to see them. They don't have to integrate into the double bladed saber. I haven't played the game yet, but if dual wielding is an option, then it would also be cool. What are the chances of this happening? Also, who in the community and player base would like to see this added to the game?

  • @Madanex96well unfortunately they do have to integrate into the double bladed saber because the double bladed saber is mandatory to get.  Dual wielding is not an option - there is an ability that is mandatory at a point of the game called Split Saber which is an attack which dual wields for 2-3 seconds before reassembling.  There is never a point you can dual wield in general, only during that combo, and Respawn couldn't even easily add that in considering how they've currently designed it.  It would be too complex and tangled of a mess now, considering how swapping between blades works, the mandatory skills, etc.

It's a cool idea, but there's no good way to implement it given how the game is set up.

Also Double Bladed users tend to use variation Form VII.  Doesn't mean Cal 100% does, that just is the common form for double blade users.  I can't identify forms by watching them.   One thing I do know is that Double Bladed always uses variants of forms, so it doesn't necessarily fit easily in I-VII categories.  Double Bladed forms are almost their own forms altogether.

  • Canonically those were specially designed hilts for an advantage in blade to blade combat.  Since this game doesn't focus on that much there isn't a need for such customizations.

    Thant's just my opinion.

  • Yeah, i'd love to make Ahsoka Tano's blades from Disney's Star Wars Rebels

  • This is true, but there is still a good amount if hand to hand combat. When he fights the second and ninth sisters, and all the time with the scout looking troopers with their batons. Typically curved lightsabers were used by form II practitioners, but since no one really knows what form Cal uses, it could still be accurate. At least from my google results, no one knows what form he uses. So, curved lightsabers could still be an option.
