Daily Challenges not working?

I've been playing around with the game for a few hours, and I can't seem to get the daily challenges to work.  Is there some milestone I have to hit in order for the challenges to become active?  2 challenges should be updating for me but aren't:  Destroy enemy ships in an X-Wing or TIE Fighter, and win a Fleet Battle vs. AI.  No ships I've killed seem to increase the tally for the challenge, and I've played and won 2 AI Fleet Battles so far... neither challenge is moving.

I haven't finished the story campaign, nor have I played any other modes except story, practice, and AI Fleet.

    I'm assuming that the challenges apply to the multiplay modes not to the story or AI modes (which I'm also working through)

    @SofaJockeyUK I would probably agree about the 1st dogfight mode challenge... obviously that requires playing dogfighting. But the next challenge specifically says to play Fleet Battles vs AI. Which I did. Twice. The last challenge doesn't specify a mode, so who knows. Didn't seem to update while playing dogfight mode.

    Having same issue with the Fleet battle vs AI, the other challenges appear to be working as i have completed like 4 or 5, only in Multiplayer mode does it seem to count

    At this point I don't know.  Played a bunch of FBvAI and the challenge won't update.

    From what I gather, all daily challenges must be in a multiplayer mode.  So even Fleet Vs AI must be played in multiplayer, not solo.  I had the same issue for Kills in Fleet vs AI and Fleet vs AI matches, and as soon as I switch to multiplayer I had no problem.

    Been solidly playing the Fleet Battles versus AI and I've killed corvettes, cruisers, and even a Star Destroyer with an X-Wing, still haven't won any Challenges yet.

    I'm on XBox.

    What's going on?
