Death Star Assault !
Will there be a Death Star Assault with final trench or inside run ? If not ? Are there dlc's planned ? Live service ? We really would like iconics movies battles to play ! High hopes ! Please...

I loved the movie, but think it is rather hard to pull that off in a game.
while Star Wars battles are mostly inspired by Naval Warfare, the Trench Run was more inspired by a game of American Football.
Run a straight line faster than the others and score a touch down. Doesn't really work if the others have lasers and you have no opportunity to evade fire because of walls left and right.
All game versions didn't feel like the movie and to honest, even in most movie scenes the Tie Fighters weren't visible behind the X-Wings. It probably wouldn't have looked good.
- @lee7dev And your idea of it shows a little less imagination than I think a great designer could come up with. Especially if it's not about speed, but about getting to the end alive and having the skill to make the shot - your team mates could be hanging back protecting your six, and other team mates are flying ahead and clearing out the turrets that would otherwise shoot you; whilst the other team are trying to kill the ones destroying the turrets and kill you and your protectors. That sounds pretty epic to me.
- In the past, many adaptation of Death Star assault were created successfully in video games ! (battlefront 2015 death star dlc as a recent example)
Why ?
Simply because it's (the 1st) One of the iconic moment that became the beginning of en entire untemporal saga and its legacy in all forms of art and industry !
With or without a trench/inside run phase, a Death Star Assault is a must to have in this game, as it pefectly suits with gameplay and their awesome designers ! So much potential !
May The Force Be With You, Always... @Elphaba It's not that I wouldn't welcome it, I played and enjoyed different game versions of the Trench run. It's fairly easy to pull of in single player, but even there most games add turrets and obstacles, sometimes even tunnels that make it look very different from the movies.
In a multiplayer environment, I find it really hard to imagine a balanced play. Already in open space your dead if someone get's behind your ship. In a trench you can hardly dodge at all.
Also the game would have to prevent players from flying outside the trench and only flying in there in the last moment. Granted that could be done with heavy turrets.
I also think you'd have to limit the number of imperials in the trench, as they are not really vulnerable while rebels are basically shields for the player that takes the shot. Maybe that could be solved with a pre-battle before reaching the Trench, where Rebels can only enter if they have enough morale (meaning shot down 2-3 of the imperial team)
so yeah, thinking it through, it actually could be really good, but it remains a hard challenge.
As I am playing in VR (Playstation 4), it would be so far better than every trench run before!
That is the same reason, I would love to fight against AT-ATs 🙂
