I played a lot of this game in the first few weeks that it was released. Generally prefer to play Imperial and I was averaging 9 kills per game without any sort of prior experience and getting kills...

Thanks guys. Probably just that all the easier players either quit or got better. It's one of those games that I tried to get my friends into, but they never ended up playing, so it's just me. Communication and cooperation is probably key now.
