MANY problems with graphics drivers can be skipped by simply choosing a CLEAN driver install, not an upgrade. At this point, however, it become necessary to not only uninstall the current driver, but to follow that with a Registry Cleaner such as Cclean, to erase all traces, before finally running your chosen driver's update.
I'm guessing NVIDIA may have released the latest drivers for newer architecture? or is it not compatible with GTX 860M? I'm quite unsure about the problem I'm facing but I know that updating the drivers to the latest one currently 358.91 does not work with games (for some people like me).
