Don't make the mistake I did - third-party retail pre-orders

I bought this game pre-order from Greenmangaming and now I can't get a refund according to EA's rules. This game is easy the worst game I've ever seen come out of EA/DICE. I hate it and really wish I could get a refund. I've actually uninstalled it already. It was just wasting space on my SSD.

My question is this: is this system set up to punish people for not buying directly from the Origin Store? I don't think it's kosher for EA to sell pre-order codes for their titles to 3rd party sites knowing that the suckers that buy them can't take advantage of their "Great games" policy and are stuck with a crappy game.

Well I learned my lesson. I'm not buying codes for Origin-based games from any other site without making absolutely sure that the game isn't garbage, if I ever buy any at all.

Cheers

  • As with all stores and all products bought in them (in most civilized countries) the return policy depends on the law and what the store provides extra besides that.

So, if you buy a game on Greenmangaming your ability to get a refund depends on the law + what extra GreenManGaming provides.

If you buy a hammer from a hardware store and it breaks when you hit a nail for the first time you don't go to the manufacturer of the hammer and get a refund, you go to the store that sold you the hammer. In this case you bought a yellow hammer and then when you came home you realized you don't like the color yellow, you can't go to get a refund at the manufacturer because it's not their fault you bought a yellow hammer and you don't like yellow which kinda makes sense and since you have already used the hammer and it's now useless to them can you really blame the store for not taking it back?
