Download stopped downloading after crash

So, ever since I built my computer with my brother, it's been crashing at least once per day, maybe more (we found a new part that will hopefully fix this problem). But anyways, I've been trying to install my new Star Wars Battlefront: Deluxe Edition game for the past two weeks or so, but after every few crashes from my computer the game stops downloading and doesn't show any percent of the game was downloaded*. The only "fix" I have come up with is to uninstall everything manually and then try again. Now doing this for two weeks I was hoping I might actually get somewhere beyond 75% before it crashed again but to my dismay, the game continues to fail. I would really appreciate if someone knew how to fix this.

Basic Specs:

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Processor: Intel i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30 GHz

RAM: 8192 MB

GPU: Geforce GTX 570 (upgrading to 760 soon)

Internet download speed: 1 mbps

  • @NsrdwfHopefully clearing the cache as per the first step will help, but past this, I wonder do you have a 2nd machine that you can install the game to/you have the game installed on?

If you do, you can try transferring across the game folder, which should bypass the issue. You can drop the Star Wars Battlefront folder from Origin Games on one system to the target install location on the main system. Origin should detect and install the game.

    Thanks.

  • Hi @Nsrdwf

Clear Origin cache and for this you get a perfectly detailed post from @EA_Nils >>http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/my-origin-will-not-update-my-sims-4/m-p/4721983#M163410

    Restart your machine .

You need to perform a Clean Boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

NOTE if your download stops or don't start you need to  checked in Origin Application Settings / Advanced / Safe Mod Downloading -checked-Enable Safe Mod Downloading and restart Origin.

Hey, I've just cleared my cache, but that didn't seem to help. I'm instead trying what you suggested, and I will try to install the game on another computer.

I hope this works. Thanks for all the suggestions.

    (Thanks)

Update: I finally got my game installed from another computer, and even though it took a whole week (because our internet is painfully slow), it was able to be done so thank you very much for all the help you guys were giving me.
