The trial will be available at 3pm UTC, today.

I see the trial option but when I click it it reroutes me to the buy option

They're becoming available as we speak. It might take a bit for it to be visible on your end, so refreshing in a few minutes might help.
If you're playing on Steam, it's running shortly behind the other platforms.
What platform are you playing on? I'll keep an extra eye out what's happening there.

@Straatford87 Trying to download the trial produces an error in Origin when pressing the "Add to Game Library" button.
"An error occurred. Please try again later. [ref. #FAILED_CHECKOUT_QUOTE]"
@Straatford87 , I'm seeing the same error as @Beneffit (in both my browser and the Origin client) . I submitted a ticket with help.ea.com and they told me that there is no EAPlay 10 hour trial for Star Wars Squadrons.
