Oh I see what you're saying there. Sometimes it is a grind to get those vehicle tokens, especially the AT-ATs, but then again, it's all part of the gametype. The graphics on the game are pretty solid, and the gameplay isn't terrible... but where I feel that the game falls short is the lack of upkeep and maintenance on EA's side. There have been several bugs that are glaring that have gone unfixed (see the "Playing the Objective" trophy as an example), and EA has been fairly silent on these issues. I have played plenty of FPS myself, and when I bought this Battlefront, I wasn't anticipating a good FPS, I was anticipating "immersion into the greatest galactic saga of all time." That's what I got. Are there things I would change about this game? Absolutely. Are there things that should be fixed? Yessir. If I want to spill blood, would I go play a more interactive FPS? Probably. I bought this game for SW, not because it was a FPS. I think that's where your opinion and mine differ. Enjoy your holiday bud. Have a good one, and May the Force Be With You.
Don't forget the complete LACK of policing the servers for cheating/mods. EA really stands for Extreme A**peckers. When you make a game that has next to no single player mode, you MUST weed out the mods and cheats.

- pc? are there cheats on the xbox live servers too?
it does feel like some of the FPS players load/recharge thier bows and jetpack much faster than i can. but idk.
* another side note: none of the star cards or perks apply to fighter squadron game play. i wish the expasion packs would make the fighter squadron component of the game more prodominate.

Good point. There should be some sort of Fighter Squadron perks or unlockables. I've farmed enough credits that I think I should be able to purchase a TIE Advanced or a B-Wing. I wish there was some sort of Hangar feature that you had access to your starfighters, and you could customize them. I'd like the blood-red stripes of the Imperial 181st on my Tie Interceptor, thank you. I'd like to be able to paint kill markers on my hull. Just little things that give the game a bit more feeling to them, ya know?

Great Scott !!!!!!! You Nailed it! That's what Star Wars Battlefront Fighter Squadron component is missing. YES! you freakin' nailed it. There are no modern epic console flying games. This would be BIG! None that I am aware of anyways ... similar to... World of Tanks was very successful at "the garage" element of customizing and upgrading tanks (* and on a user pay system which EA would like $$) . I would so be down with this on the star wars EA license. OMG that would be the cat's meow online - live - customized fighters. Pilot attributes too I suppose. Earn the force XP and upgrade your TIE.
Further more, wouldn't it be awesome - if the BATTLEFRONT "landscape" was the same map as the FPS and AT-AT etc. (at the same time - shared game play), like interacting with Walker Assault but you're either [a] air pilot (x-wings etc) [b] ground pilot (AT-AT etc) or [c] FPS by choice in the lobby (none of this token finding task) and the servers pair you with a suitable match based on equal balanced game play.
Wow, that would be soooooooo awesome! Yes. Utopia? Too much for an expansion pack?
Nothing4nothing, the FPS shooter element of SW Battlefront is so ho-hum, retreaded and poorly comparable to other FPS's if you remove the starwars image/license its pretty lame and quickly foreseeable as a non-worthy battle after level 50 in any current state of game play. BUT the Fighter Squadron component (that part - the part of the game that is like 10% of the package) I think that is really unique. That's where future development begins (I think)... I love the flying game aspect. How f'in' cool is that really. The best part of the game (I think). EA might have the best console based flying game on the market for the life of the franchise if they would expand on that element. Fighter Squadron sounds great, looks great, works good, fun, exciting, meaningful game play (if you will). I think EA / DICE should focus on this aspect of the game more.
Again, this is just me blowing brain dust into the wind, but I think you have a great idea there!
