Final cutscene(s) fail to trigger

Product: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug Interacting with the final door in the fortress triggers the final Darth Vader-fighting scene (with the dodge, hack, and attack prompts in that order) as expected, but the final scenes of Cere reappearing and Merrin saving Cal, Cere, and BD-1 nor the reunion back on the Mantis occur. Here is a recording of this bug, along with some of the other, smaller oddities this bug seems to cause: https://youtu.be/H4nwcgb7tD8
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Uncertain. I encountered a few bugs just prior to this major one so I'll list them as well. 1. After the Darth Vader pursuit begins, I was able to navigate the falling platforms leading out of the interrogation area, defeated the remaining stormtroopers but was unable to interact with the elevator at the end. Fixed this by restarting the sequence by jumping off the ledge so I would respawn. (not sure how this one happened. perhaps to do with switching between which stormtrooper to jump-attack as I jumped off the last platform?) 2. After failing to do the dodge, hack, attack interactions properly once (not a bug, I'm just not that good at this game haha) - I then did it successfully and the scene with Cere triggered. After Merrin is shown reaching for Cal in the water, the character was suddenly in-world again (no cutscene) and falls through empty blue. Uncertain where in the map Cal was supposed to be? It seemed like the model was either in the water above the fortress or back in the elevator leading to the hallway. 3(?). I cannot be sure, but it appeared that Cal's outfit was showing the wrong color in the above mentioned cutscene. I used the "guardian" jacket outfit at the time, but the stripe on the back of Cal's vest appeared to be orange? I noticed it in particular because I liked this specific outfit for the blue stripe.
What happens when the bug occurs? Cal remains standing in the hallway with his lightsaber in hand as if ready to fight, but the blade itself is not lit. No way to retrigger the door interaction or go to a save prior to this hallway. Smaller related issues: an invisible "object" stands in front of Cal at this point (99% of the time with the Darth Vader breathing sound, at least once with just the lightsaber hum) that can be attacked and locked onto, but nothing can done to it and the red lock-on indicator does not show. Also, the elevator leading back to the previous area disappeared and left an empty, out-of-bounds area that can be dropped into, but just automatically respawns the player at the start of the hallway leading to the final door. The elevator is missing from the beginning of this auto-save point/when I use continue or "load game" options.
What do you expect to see? The non-interactive cutscenes for the game to trigger and for the storyline to completed.

Sort of similar to the problem in this topic https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Falling-through-map-after-cutscene-at-Fortress-Inquisitorius/td-p/8569926, but only in that I had that bug first, but respawned after falling long enough, and after that CAN NOT finish the game.

This bug is completely game-breaking and I haven't seen anyone else report it! I have less than ten minutes of cutscenes to view in order to finish out the story and, at this point, it seems like I'll have to play the entire game over again to view it myself. (Yes, I've watched the ending on Youtube, but it's not quite the same, you know?)

I messed around a lot by exploring, fighting, having fun, etc - which means I poured over 35 hours into this playthrough. It's sort of... painful to feel like all those hours were wasted.

I fussed around a lot trying to work around this bug (not necessarily in order: repairing the game via Origin's options, jumping into out-of-bounds areas to cause respawn(s) before and after cutscene fails to trigger, closing/reopening the program, restarting computer, loading vs continuing game, messing around with customization outfits just in case that was somehow affecting it...) and I can't think of anything else to do.

So... any help? Thoughts? Free upgrade to the deluxe edition for my 30-ish hours lost? (I'm uhh half-joking? lol)

Sigh. I've half a mind to try to speedrun a storymode playthrough at this point just so I can actually say I finished the game.

Anyway, thanks for any help in advance (and sorry for the length of the post!). ❤️

  • I have this exact same problem.  Absolute game breaking bug, and right at the end too.  This has virtually ruined the game.

  • I am experiencing this same issue and have troubleshooted multiple times, please get this bug fixed ASAP, it ruins the game and any interest in replaying it...its a good game too

  • And it just happened to me. Literally stopped buying new EA games (wait years first) as they're full of bugs. Appalled this has not been fixed yet: four years? Ridiculous
