FIX for VKB T-Rudders (first post removed by mods as 'spam')

    NOTE This will work for any unrecognised rudders that don’t have an X or Y axis, if those rudders also gave their own remapping / firmware update software.

    Otherwise, you’ll have to use vJoy and Joystick Gremlin to remap you RotX axis to the virtual vJoy device’s X axis, for getting your rudders to work.

You see the last image in your post? The one with devices to be selected. I have no such option. There is no way to select devices.

@JediYaroshWait, you're saying SW:S isn't showing any devices? Have you read the other posts I made about how it filters stuff out and how you can't have other devices plugged in?

Unplug (or buy a usb hub with switches like I did) EVERYTHING except keyboard, mouse, joystick, throttle and rudders. 

Then they will show up in SW:S

    No, I am using a different brand of devices. When I installed the game for the first time I could select two devices and they worked - throttle and joystick. Pedals were not detected. After two recent updates the options disappeared and joystick stopped working. The settings are saved but only the throttle is working in flight. Joystick is not registered neither in flight, nor in controls setup.

    Seems like a really messy way to do it since I have many devices attached. But thank you - I will try if I have some spare time.

      @JediYarosh I know. It's pathetic and REALLY, REALLY stupid of the devs to do it like this. BAD DEVS!

      I have a whole cockpit with switch panels and all sorts. All of that has to be either 'turned off' at the hub or physically disconnected before SW:S will see the correct HID devices.

      You can also follow another post I made, where you have to go into windows and delete and selectively re-add all your USB hardware, so that the stick, throttle and rudder are the first 3 devices that windows sees - and therefore so does SW:S. However, system updates, unplugging and what not, eventually screw this up and you're back to square one.

      So in the end I bought a 10 port switchable usb hub and now all I have to do is turn off everything except stick, throttle and rudders, before a launch SW:S.

      @JediYaroshOh, and another tip. If - for whatever reason - SW:S gets your throttle as the first device, it will break your mouse. One of the switches or axes on the throttle is constantly 'giving input' to the menu system and it overrides the main 'input' when you move the mouse, so the throttle always has control.

      The way to fix that is to hold down the right mouse button and then you take control away from the throttle and there in the bit in the last image of my post above, change the throttle so it's not 'Number 1'. then you can let go of the mouse and you have proper control back.

      Again, like I said. BAD DEVS! I think the UI team were juniors or ex-web devs who've never even done a PC game before. Because it's truly an over-complicated mess.

      It's a shame because when you're in the game, it's brilliant work. Some of the best space combat ever made and almost everything is perfect in flight - whether in the great campaign, the execution of the story, or in PVP / PVE'. They truly excelled at that and the programmers, designers and artists that did that deserve huge respect and appreciation. It's just the people responsible for the menu system really really let the game down. 

      That and the decision not to add TrackIR or even get beta help from the flight-sim community.

        Thank you very much for the tips.

        I couldn't agree more, especially with the last. If only they had someone in the team who actually knows how modern flight sims work. I fly DCS usually and they should take example from there on how the things should be done. Also setting up the controls could be improved: when I press the joystick button in the setup it should skip to the assigned function to show me what I already assigned. If it's not assigned, no skipping. It would make button assignment so much easier. But it seems like the testers and devs were not experienced enough in such things.
