Frame drops with i5 6500 and GTX 960 4gb

I am getting frame drops when playing your game, I have 8GB of RAM, an i5 6500 and a GTX 960 4GB. It is technically playable since they are occasional frame drops, but it's hardly playable because of this and it's not an ideal experience. I have the occasional frame drop, sometimes my framerate drops to around 19 fps when playing on medium settings on full HD. My hardware should be more than enough to run this game on medium settings, what is the solution to this problem? Are there any software issues that can cause this, which I can fix myself?

I do not have this issue with any other video games, all other games are always above 30 fps. Need For Speed Heat runs with 30 fps at low settings for some reason, but any other game runs at 60 fps on medium settings (Call Of Duty MW 2019 for example). The COD Black Ops Cold War Open Beta also ran a lot better than Jedi Fallen Order and it's newer.

Btw: I have just read that this is an issue with the game, since even people with a RTX 2080 had this problem. Are there are any possible fixes? Is EA going to release a patch for this?

  • I disabled all "visuals" and am running the game on medium settings which is the lowest. The game still is hardly playable, so I will have to buy 16GB RAM to fix this. Will 2133mhz ram be good enough?

Update: Recently I finally managed to make this game run like it's supposed to. The problem was either my CPU or the amount of RAM, or maybe both. My old motherboard died so I was unable to check.

A 8-threaded 4 GHZ CPU (4 cores) with 16 GB of RAM gets 30 - 35 fps constantly in this game and that was probably without changing the graphical settings. The i5 6500 is probably too weak for this game and 8GB RAM is also not enough, also I was using a HDD and I have the game stored on my SSD now. I was able to get a stable 60+ fps in Battlefield V and Star Wars Squadrons with the hardware listed in my opening post.
