Game Bugged out on Dathomir and can't get double bladed lightsaber.

Summarize your bug When i activated the workbench (after watching youtube, where cal fixes the other end of the lightsaber, turning it into a double blade) my game glitched and i never got the cinematic. I did get the post cinematic text/prompts, but my lightsaber is still broke AF and the double blade won't activate. i tried to quite to desktop, but the game appears to have saved after that "scene". Unsure how to resolve now :-(
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know how or why it happened, or how widespread this issue is.
What happens when the bug occurs? My lightsaber is "locked" to single blade. and nothing has been able to fix it.
What do you expect to see? A solution on how i can get my rightfully earned double blade without restarting a new game.

I don't know what happened, but i'd really like a solution to get my double blade. I did run the verify thing in Origin to see if the game files had a corruption.

Hey folks,

As a workarounds:

Via the Pause menu, check your skills. It's possible that you actually did unlock the double-bladed ligthsaber.

Additionally, there's multiple locations where you can unlock the double-bladed lightsaber. I've listed them below, in the spoiler tag:

Kashyyyk - Origin Tree

Dathomir - Brother's Bastion

Please let us know if the other locations do unlock it for you, if the first one hasn't.

I purchased this game through steam and have encountered this same issue eight months after Red_Bull_334 made the original post.

I traveled to Dathomir as my first stop after gaining player agency and discovered the workbench at the "Brother's Bastion". the cut scene played as normal and even showed the second blade ignite, but when i regained control the double blade was unusable. at first i thought that i simply did not understand how to use the double blade so i checked the menus. in the menu it told me that i need to "press X" to switch to double blade, but when i press X during combat Cal only ignites a single blade ignoring the fact that I have unlocked the second.

I believe this to be a bug specifically with the workbench at the "Brother's Bastion" on Dathomir, as neither I nor anyone I have discussed this issue with have had this issue with any other workbench, and have even had another workbench allow use of the double blade after using the "Brother's Bastion" workbench and having the double blade bugged.
The bug still exists even after being patched, and i hope this issue gets resolved as I rather enjoy the game dispite a few other problems Ive noticed with raw mechanics.

Try either progressing with the story. It forces you to get the upgrade on kashyyyk.

Very sad to say this is still happening, now to me in 2022 and now on a PS5 :/ if anyone has found a solution please let me know!!
