Well they needed something to make the game time played longer. fast travel would make this a 12 hour game lol

Artificially padding playtime hours with stuff like this is obviously not their intended goal. Having gotten all the chest on the way, I'm now faced with an hour long trek of NOTHING just to play the game again. There's no way any developer in the world would want that.
I agree with the fast travel system, especially for returning to the Mantis.
I'm currently STILL on the first planet of Bogano, stuck.
The door to the Mantis will not open and let me back inside, so I am unable to get OFF the planet and progress past Bogano itself.
A fat travel system, allowing me to get back inside the Mantis, would avoid this bug.
Just complete the mission, than you are able the Mantis.
A fast travel system is not a good idea...
@Omgilovesteakssarcasm is impossible to detect without tone of voice, facial expressions and gestures. You would do well not to try to be sarcastic online where all the cues required to detect it are not present. Psychological fact, your words only make up 7% of your communication.
If you look below your original post there's actually people saying Fast Travel is a bad idea, so reality is some people actually do think that way! Non-sarcastically.
