Gnarled heights wall running STUCK TWO HOURS

is anyone else struggling with the wall run at the end of Gnarled Heights on the Origin Tree? I literally cannot do it. My character gets on the wall, then slips down, or he does the first run perfectly then jumping to the next wall the game doesn't register that you're on the wall and you drop. About to rage quit and just watch the game on YouTube instead. Come on EA, give us an option to skip this nightmare

Wall running in this game, up until the point at which you obtain the double jump ability, has required you to press jump + left/right on the left stick. For this jump puzzle though, pressing left/right eventually leads to failure by either missing the next wall, or for some stupid reason, turning you 180 degrees and running the wrong way. After way too much time spent trying to beat this using the technique the game had told me to use, I simply held the left stick forward while double jumping. Cleared it first try. I don't know why a game would go to such lengths to teach you a technique, require you to use it many times, and then change the technique without informing the player. Anyway, I hope this helps someone .

  • I struggled then much later found once I upgraded my monitor to a faster refresh monitor - 144 Hz was enough from a 60 Hz that the wall run, catching vines, sliding on ice issues all vanished. I thought it was poorgame design, I had no idea the game required a faster refresh rate monitor. Now steering and directions and even wall running are simple without precise locations. You might try this if you can. I didn't even know it was the issue until I accidentally solved it this way. Best of luck.

I hope the game designer who invented this part got fired.

  • This definitely sounds like a controller issue. I use M+K and it blows my mind that this would be an issue. Try remapping your keys?

DUDE! ah man... i read your suggestion and applied.  All I did was aim Cal in the right direction and controlled forward and jump movements without touching the mouse!!  Good job...THANK YOU X 1000!!  I was on my 2nd hour trying. OMG...fire that developer!

@duckst4b THANK YOU! This tip did it for me. I was making it too complicated and trying to steer Cal too much. The direction you're running in is already the direction you have to go in to hit the next wall anyway!

This fixed it on the first try. You rock!

  • Thank you so much, @duckst4b! I started playing this game again and was stuck. Just like how some of the other people here felt, I was about to give up again. I really appreciate your tip!

  • Me too man, I did rage quit. It really is the worst. I totally agree on the skip mechanic, kinda like Rockstar has done with their games

  • This is on the older side of time, I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
