Gorgara free falling endless loop

Product: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Summarize your bug When doing the free falling portion of fighting Gorgara, the LT slows me to just before I land on Gorgara and then it re-loops from the start of the fall.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unsure- I climb the wall fine and it's only when free falling
What happens when the bug occurs? When I pull LT and the character slows it resets to the beginning of the free fall, as if I fell past Gorgara
What do you expect to see? I don't know- whatever comes next.

The game is unplayable beyond that point. I have tried restarting the game and the xbox. I have tried changing the difficulty setting after loading my save right before.

  • After tabling this game from when I originally found the issue I finally gave it another try thinking maybe they had fixed the bug. They hadn't but I tried something this time.

As I held the LT I paused the game before it restarted the loop and cycled through Abilities, Customization, Databank, Tactical guide, Settings, and back to abilities. When I unpaused the game I was FINALLY ABLE TO ATTACH TO GORGARA!

I had to do this for each instance of free falling after that but I'm happy to say I've passed that part now. I don't know if this will work on all consoles and PC but it worked for my Xbox One.

  • I've got the exact same problem on X Box One. Have tried the suggested solution of pausing and cycling through the menu but doesn't work.

Any other ideas please? I can't find away to report this to EA, the site just redirects me to this forum.

    Thanks!

    Tom

  • Same issue on the PS4, with latest patches applied as of May 2020.

The game prompts me to push L2 (i.e. force pull) when I'm right on top of him.  But the force pull doesn't actually happen, I pass right through Gorgara like a glitch.

The other suggestion in the thread, of pausing the game and cycling through the menu options, has no effect.

  • i tried the trick with pausing as you hold LT but no luck, any other methods that worked for anyone??? Btw it’s August and this still isn’t fixed

  • @TomToom22 I had the same problem on Xbox One but after several tries beat it. The key is that you have to click LT at a VERY specific time. Don’t hold down LT. Holding acts like you never click it.
  • Frankly not convinced that everyone or even anyone reporting this as a problem is taking into account how hard it is to aim your skydive just right, and it may be unwise to assume that as long as the button appears that's an absolute guarantee that there's enough time left to pull it off.  The whole "pause and cycle through menus" thing sounds like pure superstition.

  • L1/L2/R1/R2 at the same x on PS worked, guess smbdy labeled the command incorrectly, very redic it hasnt bn fixed for a game thats bn out this long
