So i keep getting the DirectX device creation error:"Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for playing this game.""NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M " GPU does not support DirectX 11.0 which is required.Now this is the only error i have encountered since i got past the driver update error and the freezing black screen, and at some point after taking a break from trying to fix this problem, i came back, hit Enter and the game worked smoothly, not a single problem ingame..I thought the problem had fixed itself, so i played for a hour or so, went to make food and when i came back, the same error occurred.I know that i am running DirectX 11.0 on my computer and this is the first time i have encountered this problem. halp..Specs:Windows 8.1Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHzGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860MRAM: 16.0 GBSystem type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processordxdiag in pastebin:http://pastebin.com/cVnkhe2j EDIT: I have resolved my problem with the game by upgrading from windows 8.1 to windows 10 and then updating all drivers, everything is running smooth now.

The error message is being triggered by the grossly inadequate Intel IGP, because the Optimus won't step up and work. It makes no difference that Intel claims Dx11 compatibility; the Intel video is essentially useless for 3D.

I had the same problem, and if i go to the Geforce website it says in this link: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dx11/supported-gpusIn the list over supported GPUs to DirectX11 there is Geforce GTX 860M. So the message that 860M does not support DirectX11 is *. It says in this link black and white that 860M support DirectX11.Someone needs to fix this, whoever. Dont care if it is EA or Nvidia, just fix this. Im using the Leonovo, y50-70 with 2 GB grafics.

I try to downgrade 258.50, clean install, Install fresh new directx 11 and 12 too.i dont think its a nvidia problem, i can play other games without problem, i have this issue with this game, Just i am disappointed.60€. illusions by playing this title and this happens,i have a lenovo 50-70, with gtx 860m nvida card

Its the GPU - Nvidia Driver Problem that I have been ( and other millions of people ) chasing down to find a solution for 62 days now. Anything Below 359 drivers wont open BattleFrontAnything Above 355 will mess up all the other games, may or may not run the battlefront after 10-20 restarts for a map and will crash in loading screen.So far no luck. The Geforce Optimus mobile cards are extremely undependable for EA games.

That may be even so although the error is wrong here.
His embedded card DOES come with Dx11, even Dx12:

Same as always for the Optimus. The game is unable to find any game-capable video doing anything!

I too have Lenovo Y50-70, a well known gaming laptop, with the same card: Geforce GTX 860m and get the exact same message. Can I Run This Website is useless as it says overall I can't run the game even though I pass all the specific points by far. I really need to have this solved as I forked out 100$ for this game + season pass based on the Beta working smoothly on the very same PC.

Since it's nVIDIA's driver causing the problem, and their bad engineering on all of the Optimus abortions, you'll have to complain to them about getting one that will work, and then forcing your own device to get up off its backside.
