On another thread we figured out we all had the same GPU (Zotac AMP! Extreme GTX 1080) and all having the same issue.This GPU is overclocked by default so we figured out that underclocking the GPU boost clock to Nvidia stock speed of 1733MHz worked. (As opposed to the card default of 1911)No issues since.Hopefully this will be of help to some of you

I am experiencing the exact same issue. Repairing game files and updating graphics drivers have not fixed this issues.
Hoping a patch will fix this issue as it is really taking me out of the experience.

I solved it by switching from MSI Afterburner to ASUS GPU Tweaker II. Been playing for like 5 min without problems. Will update later if it comes back:D

Nope, it hasn't helped. When I try to use GPU Tweak II to overclock, it gives me random white specks across the whole screen at the title screen and then crashes me to desktop. If I don't use it to overclock and leave it at default settings, I still experience the original issue with the random blots of colour for rain and fog.

@Orloxian Yeah overclocking can be very unstable, if you are overclocking any hardware can you turn back to normal.

Also off if you shut off both programs does that help?

If you have the latest Nvidia drivers we seen comments that rolling back the last drivers help also.

I've stopped overclocking both the GPU and the CPU, and I've rolled back the GeForce drivers to version 441.08, but the problem is still there.

Thanks! Mine's a different model, but it was overclocked by default. The issue doesn't happen at the start anymore now that I've dialed it down to 1733MHz.. Will play for a bit and toss in an update about whether or not the problem persists.
