Hacked Account & Credits Never to be Refunded
Spent the last two hours on the phone with EA support about having a hacked account. No idea how it happened but it happened. The hackers changed the account e-mail address and password immediately. Then they changed the name of the account and avatar, deleted my entire friends account, logged into Star Wars Battlefront and spent 134,000 credits and took a dump on my K/D ratio.
After three phone conversations I wrested my account from the hacker. Changed the password and added an extra layer of identity protection. I fixed my name, avatar, and logged into SW to find 134k credits all spent. I called EA and the customer service rep told me they cannot refund over 10-12k credits on the game. There is no restore point (unless it's a full account wipe back to level 0 which...why would anyone want?). So basically I got shafted.
My question is why is there not an override option for customer support to award me the credits stolen from my account? I can detail exactly what skins/weapons I did NOT buy so they can 'relock' them if they so wish. On top of that, there was absolutely nothing support could do to restore my friends list. I mean wouldn't they want to investigate the 3 new names this guy was friends with??? He clearly deleted my entire thread and probably added his hacker friends to play with...no followup from EA.
So EA...what's going on?
