@SlyGuy237Afraid I have to disagree. It would be an interesting thing to add to a single-player mode, but considering this game is banking on multiplayer (and possibly becoming a new esport?), not being able to pull wicked moves in game would detract from the multiplayer experience. I also imagine they'd be pretty easy to cheat to an off setting, which would give an advantage to the team who didn't know the cheat.

@MergletYou can pull wicked moves with global g-force model. You just can't do them at stupid speed. It seems a reasonable give and take. If you want to go crazy fast there should be some kind of "give" there. It seems more economical.
To add to that, good piloting is being able to force mistakes and exploit weaknesses. I'm not sure how any of that is done when nobody has to have any weaknesses.- 5 years ago
If they follow the model (and I believe they are) of the original series, tighter turns will require dropping your engines to a level to be able to pull off the fastest turn. I don't see how going from extra boost to dropping your engines to turn hard and then blacking out would in any way "enhance" the game experience other than realism based on what we know about physics, esp in the atmosphere of Earth. But this is space fantasy, and I'm certain the drift moves and hard 180s will be difficult enough without blacking out the pilot. Let's call them from a Star Trek technology, Inertial Dampeners? 😉

@SlyGuy237 I’m with you. There needs to be consequences for things if we want to push the skill envelope or it’s going to get boring quickly. If it got popular enough, I wouldn’t mind a couple of leagues that would depend on how sweaty you were.
- 5 years ago@Mithrilynn yeah it's just give and take. Has anyone noted how large the hit bubble is on targets?
