Peer to Peer matchmaking with no region lock and you want people to play competitively in a ranked mode? What a joke! the fact this serious issue hasn't even been acknowledged yet has killed any hype I had left for the game.
Its a huge shame. Im trying yo persevere.
The game is gorgeous, it has all the feels. I like the controls...even on my HOTAS setup some have complained about.
Its really hitting all the right motes.
EXCEPT that multiplayer, the whole point of the game, is going to be on a short string if they cant figure out better matchmaking.
Im currently 1.75 on k/d ratio but thatll drop rapidly if i get strings of games on bad ping
Ha. I was 1.65 KD when I started ranked, now I'm down to like 0.4 or something terrible.
Played Xwing, TF, XvT, XWA, Star Citizen, Elite, you name it - and the latency makes me look like a newb
edit: forgot to mention the competitive open-world pvp we did for years in SWG, I think that counts towards showing my level of skill 😉
