I cant use a ps3 controller for Star wars Battlefront, please help!

When I start up the game,I cant play until I have a gamepad in ( i use a ps3 controller) .Although, once on the game, I dont seem to be able to use the ps3 controller to play. i have tried in settings and on the web but nothing works. Please help.

    Im having the same problem too, but I feel like putting this question on the EA website is a bad idea. They are probably just going to tell you to buy a 360 controller

    @Kallache22

    PS3 controllers are not compatible with many, many games.  I do not believe it is on the supported gamepad list.  I use an Xbox One controller and it works flawlessly.  A 360 controller works just the same and is cheaper.

    Im sorry to have to tell you this, but like I said before, PS3 controllers do not work with too many games, and usually have issues in the ones that do.
