I cant use a ps3 controller for Star wars Battlefront, please help!

When I start up the game,I cant play until I have a gamepad in ( i use a ps3 controller) .Although, once on the game, I dont seem to be able to use the ps3 controller to play. i have tried in setting...

Im having the same problem too, but I feel like putting this question on the EA website is a bad idea. They are probably just going to tell you to buy a 360 controller
