I was having this problem, while playing before it fully downloaded. It finished downloading yesterday, and it was fixed and I passed it. When I got back on the game today, there was another update that needed downloading. I stupidly decided to start over because I thought I had missed a few things in the game. So when I got to the same spot, the gates where there when I swung out, but they fell as soon as I jumped onto them, and I somehow ended up getting stuck behind the grating you climb on, with out being able to get out.
Yep, it still doesn't work for me either. The grates are there, but fall within about a second of the pipe coming to a complete stop.
The first time I hopped on the grate, then it fell and I somehow ended up attached to the ceiling of the train car I'd just come out of. When I dropped down however I fell into the abyss rather than landing on the floor of the car. Picture attached of where I got stuck, as well as of a grate falling while I'm still on the pipe.
This is ridiculous. The game has been out for over a month and I still can't play past the first 15-20 minutes of it.
@brandedrespawn When can we expect this to be fixed?

Over a year later and this problem still exists. What a waste of money....got 15 minutes of play time before a bug halted the tracks. The grates fall every single time before can jump up to them leaving me stuck hanging on the pipe
