Imperial lasers killing without aim?

Hey guys,

has anyone noticed that imperial lasers go way beyond crosshair? It looks as if the laser shots (with regular laser) are gaining momentum in the direction the ship is headed, thus hitting the enemy even though is not in the crosshair. I'm not sure if that is also the case with Republic, but I've had that impression multiple times while watching replay of someone shooting me down with an imperial ship. I wonder If that's just my impression, or if that's in fact a serious balancing issue.

  • @PeteMach I've seen the same thing. Some TIE fighter shoots me, hits me 1-2 times and kills me, while their cross hair is way under me. No idea how its done. This is happening with PC players, versus me a PS4 player.
  • I'm on PS4  aswell and there certainly is some Aim Assist on the TIE Fighter's Standard Laser Cannon.

  • killcams arent a reliable source/reference. lag and other issues can make things appear totally different from what actually happens, so its hard to tell.

and since ties can easily overcharge their weapon systems its quite possible that is the reason why you died so quickly, overcharged weapons deal more damage
