Is 'Great Game Guarantee' a myth? Want a SW Battlefront refund.

Not happy with my pre-ordered Battlefront Ultimate Edition ($159 Aussie dollars)... Too many glitches and no players on after the first couple of days.

So I went to see if I was eligible for a refund on the link - https://help.ea.com/gb/article/what-s-the-great-games-guarantee - and I got a "404 Page not found... Sorry that page doesnt exist"

There is no problem with my PC - Win10 / FX8350 / R9 290 / 8Gb RAM with all updated drivers the game still stutters and freezes.  If EA can fix it all well and good but if not I want my money back.

  • Thx Fred_vdp.  I thought as much.  Hopefully the CPU maxing out issue will be fixed soon then.

@Kokonuttz Wootcandy has provided the working links, but may I ask where you got the original non-working link from?

    Thanks.

  • If you pre-ordered, you're no longer eligible for a refund a week after the game's release. That time period has now passed.

  • Hi EA_David,

Link is off the Origin menu - Help - Order History.  See attached.

@Kokonuttz Honestly, I doubt it, because it's also an issue in Dragon Age Inquisition, a game that has been out for a year now. I get 100% CPU usage whenever DAI or Battlefront is loading. Since I didn't want to stress my CPU, I reduced max CPU usage to 90% in the Windows power saving options. Performance is unaffected, since it never reaches 90% during normal gameplay anyway, and my temperatures are much lower now.

So i had recently purchased batlefront a week ago and i opened it a day after and it wasnt working because of my own issues in my laptop that ive already had help with. Well i wasnt aware that i had to refund within 24 hours of that. And i was wondering if theres anyway i could refund battlefront, so i havent wasted 100 dollars. ☹️
