Problem still exists. Chests not counting, even when revisiting area. As far as I'm concerned, a game that wont allow you to platinum it is a broken game. Needs sorting ASAP, or refund.
I had this issue on Xbox One. I realize this isn’t an option for some but it worked for me. After reopening the game on my Series X the chest count was showing properly.
