Jedi Fallen Order PS5 DualSense Controller Issue

So I've been having an issue with my PS5 DualSense controller on Jedi Fallen Order. I know there are a lot of old discussions here (and on the Steam forum and the Fallen Order subreddit) already about this topic, but none of their solutions has worked for me so far (completely). If I have Steam Controller Support on/enabled, the game controls fine, but it gives me Xbox button prompts instead of PS5 ones which gets very confusing after a while. If I turn it off and try using the native built-in support via USB (which Steam and the game on EA app say it has and it's compatible with PS5 controllers) the controller just doesn't work at all no matter what I do (tried unplugging and plugging back in, restarting the game, everything). Lastly, using DS4Windows to emulate a PS4 DualShock 4 controller works great and gets me the PS5 button prompts, but I cannot open the map at all. Which, unless I'm doing a no-map run, I need the map to play the game and know where I'm going. The default button is the touchpad and when I press it, Cal just attacks. I've tried re-mapping it to the share button in-game, but it won't let me.

Tried DualSenseX before too, the game also did not recognise my controller, even when it was directly plugged in.

Haven't tried Jedi Survivor yet, I got it free with my new GPU and haven't added it to Steam or downloaded it yet, wanted to finish Fallen Order first.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what to do, honestly. EA Support is no help (made multiple cases), they only say they don't support controllers and the Steam Help page just directs me back to EA Support over and over, so I can't even contact Steam Support about it. WTF EA and Steam... ☹️
