I was killed immediately after activating the hero icon while playing battlefront on 3/29 at approx 20:30 CDT. I noticed that I could not use any special abilities to evade; but I was still shot down while being pursued. Additionally the attacker also got credit for killing Slave 1, even though I had not yet spawned. Please help to resolve this issue, as I do not enjoy yelling obscenities at the top of my lungs at my television.
When you pick up the Hero icon in Fighter Squadron, there is a short period that you need to wait to spawn into the ship. During this time, if you are unlucky and die, you are out of luck. And yes, it does give that player "credit" for taking out the Hero, since you were in transition.
Yes, there is no waiting period for the heath regen and the cooldown pickups, so this is the same with the Hero that when you are killed before you can spawn, it will display the person took out the Hero. It takes a couple of seconds to respawn. I dont know the mechanics of it as I am not a developer. If you would like more insight on it, you will have to go the the Official Battlefront Forums and ask there, as that is where the Developers actually look and can answer questions.
