Lagging in Menu and starting screen in SW BattleFront

Star Wars Battlefront beta is lagging in MENU. After the game starting all fine and i have like 45-60 FPS at high. But in menu ( downloading maps, change level) it lags like crazy, and in most cases i just get ERROR menu  ( This session is no longer available ) .

WTF is this *?

I have the same exact issue. During actual matches, my game runs beautifully. Before and after the match is when it goes all to ****. The multiplayer lobby lags terribly, locks up intermittently, and drops my game session about 70% of the time when I click join match. If I'm lucky enough to fight through the lag and locks and get in, I'm golden. That is until the score/awards screen after the match- the issues start up again.

Your GPUs may be unthrottled and reacting to extremely high FPS rates by becoming unstable and overheating.  Some GPUs and drivers will do that in menus and other text-type screens.

If that is what is happening to you, try enabling vsync and retesting.

What CPU and GPU you running? I have a feeling this issue is exclusive to AMD/ATI

EDIT: I just checked your dxdiag. I think our AMD GPUs are the culprit. Gonna mess with some settings, see if I can get somewhere with the issue.

I've tried vsync - still have lags in menu and loading screens.

P.S. I've even tried Medium settings and Window mode but nothing really helps. The game is running smoothly if i MANAGE to join the map and start playing  ☹️

Thats the thing about it. You'd think the game itself would lag if it was our computers. I even set the resolution to sub-720p and the scaling down and all settings to low. Still massive lag and freeze in the menu. Until about 2 mins into the game then boom, completely playable at 1080p no spikes or freezes or slowdown.

    Parameters of my machine:

    Processor: i5-3570K

    Memory: 16GB

I also have the latest ATI driver: 15.7.1

  • I still have this problem.

    I have a GTX Nvdia 970m

    I7 4410hq quad processor 5.50 ghz

    16gb of ram

The game runs perfectly when in battle, but the menus are crazy laggy
