Large, unchangeable deadzone when using HOTAS, in-game options do NOT change it.

    Hi Pilots,

    Thanks again for flagging this issue to us. With Update 1.1, we've added the following fix for the HOTAS deadzone:

    • Added options in the menu called “Controller Global Deadzone" and "Flight Stick Global Deadzone” which will allow you to modify the deadzone individually for standard controllers and Flight Sticks

Come on lets be fair to EA. This is the 1st time I've bought an EA game on launch day and could actually log in and play it...even the single player component.

If we ignore the fact the two main features that they based their entire PR on, VR and HOTAS, dont work in anyway, shape or form, I'd say its their most successful launch yet.

Keep up the good work EA we love you.

yeah this whole situation is pretty frustrating to be sure. 

For me the VR seems to work ok, it's just the HOTAS deadzones that make it very difficult to play (and impossible to play well).

So I'm basically just sitting back waiting for a fix before I attempt to even play the game further.

If there are enough players like me, with bugs that are preventing them from enjoying the game, the player base may drop off. That seems like a real unfortunate outcome as the underlying game here seems really quite good and could benefit from ongoing investment and future expansion. This is what is frustrating.

    After spending over an hour configuring the crazy controls to my X52, I have stopped trying the game because of this deadzone issue.  Still waiting for a fix so I can complete my 2 hour preview before the Steam refund expires.  Its amazing that this is taking so long to resolve.

      Same here, I will not play this game until a bunch of fixes are done, long time I didn't played such a broken game. Not even possible to finish mission 2 in VR, very strange perfs, and HOTAs management and deadzones just makes it impossible to play.
      Also for me if it's not fixed soon I'll just uninstall it, there are enough good gamesto play to allow myself to be frustrated with messy ones.
      That lack of VR and input QA is unacceptable, and I work in this industry, not that the company I work for is perfect about launches,far from that I would say, but recent SatrWars games are just not finished they are to be not even in a Beta stage. And since I can't imagine passionate people not trying to give their best, it must come from the edito so EA....They within 2 or 3 years totally disgusted me of their products to a point I don't even answer anymore their Job proposal.
      I stopped the last 3 star wars games they did within few hours....congratulations guys.
