Legacy controls for Battlefront for xbox one not working

I just bought Battlefront for the xbox one.  When switching to the Legacy control scheme the left thumbstick won't work.  My character will very slowly turn left or right and that is it.  Is there so...

Hey everyone. We're all in the same boat here, being Legacy thumbstick players, so I think we can all understand what I'm about to ask of you all. Microsoft has released an app on Xbox One called "Xbox Accessories." This app lets the player remap what the buttons do when you press them. You could switch the A button with the Right Bumper, for example.

There is feedback forum called Xbox Uservoice, or Xbox Request a Feature. There are a few postings there asking for the devs of Xbox Accessories to include Thumbstick Remapping for both the normal Xbox Controller and the Elite Controller. The app doesn't currently support Thumbstick Mapping, only button mapping. This is a core Microsoft app for the Xbox. If they were to do this, we wouldn't be sitting asking DICE to patch their game or add additional thumbstick layouts. We could play all the games (backwards compatible games too) that don't have Legacy thumbstick options in the game. Please come and upvote this post and the others like it! We need it!

So should I just refund this game? I did research to confirm legacy controls were supported in the final release and bought this game to enjoy over the weekend and am highly disappointed that legacy sticks are bugged. I see that it's being worked on and is an easy fix, but then why isn't it fixed yet and why isn't there any ETA? This just feels unacceptable in 2015 for a AAA title and I want an ETA so I can determine whether or not to refund this game.

    Am I correct in assuming that someone will post on this thread when it is fixed. I've stopped trying to play the game. It's much easier to hop on here than to fire it up and get pushed off all over again. What a disgrace. They've got me though. There's no way I'm returning the game. Even if it takes months. And they know that because of the brand. So they're dragging their feet. Which is more disgraceful. But we wait like the addicted dependent suckers that we are.

      Yeah, a moderator said he'll comment here when he gets some hard facts about a fix for this.

      You should assume positive intent with people. Most of the people working at DICE are regular people working a regular job. They don't have some conspiracy theory agenda against gamers. There are tons of other bugs they need to address in addition to this one, we just have to be patient, as much as that sucks having to wait to play it, even when we have the game already.

        There might be tons of other bugs but I'm not aware of any others that make the game literally unplayable for many. Including EA Access the full game has been out 9 days. It should be fixed.
