Mission 1 - Follow Gunny Bug

So, the prologue and pretty much everything else works fine, however, the game crashes to desktop whenever I attempt to play Mission 1 - Form the Vanguard.

There are two varieties, one, loading from the 2nd prologue into it "Four Years Later..." Appears, then the game crashes to desktop with no error message, the same error occurs if I select Continue the Story as an option except theres a loading screen with tips instead of the above and the crash occurs once the loading icon disappears.

The other crash issue is selecting the mission itself instead of Continue the Story causes an infinite loading screen that does not end after the tips appear the loading icon disappears and it fades to black - the loading icon reappears when it would normally crash it just.. keeps loading, forever. The icon never disappears or freezes, just continually plays its animation. I've let this go for about 10 minutes without a change so I assume its stuck an infinite loading loop.

Insight into this would be excellent, I have no desire to keep plugging away at it (changing settings, etc etc) just in case this issue is not solved soon and I have to refund.

prologue plays beautifl and vsync was fine at 144fps

but go inti mission 1 and even sit in ship and do nothing for 30mins then randomly the pc shuts down and give me pcie error

presumably we have a video issue with thsi game

steam mentions many with same issue

please release a patch asap

Misery loves company.

I get through the initial cut scenes and fly my tour of the fleet on the first mission. We then jump to hyperspace and there is the cut scene of ties detatching from the ship and then it goes to a black loading screen. Where it stays indefinitely. The little loading box goes away and the music goes away and I'm left in the black. I am playing on PC with VR. Any suggestions?

As soon as the mission starts i have to follow Gunny and i do but then she just starts flying in circles and she just continues doing that and nothing happens if i follow her.
Saw a youtube video where the player follow her and gets to a point where he eventually have to fly to a jump point.
But i never get that. I just fly around and around and around and so on.

Same problem on PC. The very first mission, and it's completely bugged, rendering the game unplayable. Was this game tested?

Same thing happening to me. This is ridiculous. This game should have been tested to remove this bug since so many people are experiencing this. Can't continue the story until you fix this bug. FIX IT NOW EA!

I also have this problem new pc rig as of a few days ago, not vr just standard play follow gunny for 30 secs then turns and just does circles if you stop, I tried flying around zone everywhere nothing, she does not do the dialog that supposed too happen to get the jump gate appear. 

Yes, same here, UK pre-release bundle. Transition to jump gate does not occur, Also having just watched a level guide, there is no dialogue as expected.
