Am I the only one who thinks the ship speed is super slow? I really want a mode closer to how it is in the movies. Double the speed, double the agility, half the health, and no respawn timer. I don't care if it's even against ai, I just don't like feeling like I'm flying a bus.
Also give us a trench run mode. It doesn't have to be in depth or super repayable. I just want a 2 minute gimmick of flying the trench run.
I initially thought that as well then I rewatched A New Hope a few days ago. In open space, the TIE fighters attacking the Falcon didn't seem to be flying that fast. Nearer to the Death Star and in the trench scene all the fighters appeared faster. I guess it's perspective.
Yeah but no one goes to a new hope as the reference for space battles. Look at any other time you see any ship flying in star wars, it's fast from any perspective. Even in the trench run, like you said, it's pretty fast.
they didnt look fast because they were chasing a ship in high speed. same goes for cars if you ignore the background and only look at the cars passing each other at different speeds

The speeds are so slow that evasive maneuvers are almost useless and outright suicidal sometimes. I would say only increase the base max speed by 50% or more, without changing acceleration or maneuverability
i do think of it from that point, and speed buffs would still be a very needed improvement;.
as i said, 25% or 50% base max speed only buff would be ideal, and maps would definitively NOT need to be huge. and players would also not lose sight of everything, if they do lose sight then that means that evasive maneuvers are finally working as they need to be and viable.
