Multiple PC Users Playing Jedi: Fallen Order on PC

I recognize, there is no such thing as sharing within a family in Origin.  On our family PC, I've logged my son into Origin, and he has been playing Jedi:Fallen Order -- and is about 6-7 hours in (and loving it).

I would like to start a new game, but want to ensure I don't mess up his save.  If I choose "Start a new game" in the menu, will it keep the existing save my son has?
