A New Game plus mode would be essential for the game only because us players only want it for customization use,abilities will only defeat the purpose of the storyline we only want customizations so we can replay the story with our stylish Cal is there any possible chance for this to happen sometime in the near future with the aid of the development team?That's mainly why the community is a bit disappointed because restarting with a fresh Cal and researching collectibles gets a bit tiring and people want to just look cool we dont expect abilities to transfer because like I said it just defeats the purpose of the game if I ever get a response I'll be extremely grateful because I love the game PERIOD and I just want it to flourish just a bit more for an expanding fandom community of the game,Thank Youu!!😁
I agree by the time you get everything the game comes to a quick end and by then there is nothing to do as it’s super easy to 100% everything before the final boss especially since most planets are 100% by then. Give us a NG+ in some form restrictions or not but let us enjoy what we unlocked. God of War is also a metroidvania they managed to give us a NG+ on that. This games amazing I love it beat it twice now 100% on grand master but there’s not enough post game content there is no arena to enjoy fighting mobs and after you beat the game there’s nothing left to fight the enemies on each planet get less populated making it super boring. Please more content would be nice you already have a Dev gauntlet mode how hard could it be to give us a bit more to work with.
My point exactly God Of War was an awesome game but it has nothing on JFO if it was to be properly modified people would never look back it's always the small things that keep developers from making good content nobody never said we wanted ABILITIES in new game plus just cosmetics.Hopefully they listen to the community with sense.
I think a New Game Plus in the same vein as God of War or Batman: Arkham City would be amazing. Keep your upgrades and have the chance to unlock new stuff, maybe power variants or something like that.
You could still be able to retain unlocked powers and get an upgrade to either the specific power or health or force instead. Or just refund the spent points for the powers on NG+ for you to reassign.
Balance that out with tougher enemies and challenges (for example, a normal difficulty new game plus would get the enemy settings of hard difficulty etc.) plus different enemy mob make up.
First playthrough: Padawan.

I would love this as well. I dont want the abilities (maybe the Sabre Damage one). I mainly want to be able to change the cosmetics. I would play the game over and over if i could keep the cosmetics.
