nVidia Surround Issues

Hi guys,

Maybe you can help me with this issue I have. Battlefront runs fine in 1920x1080 in windowed. Anything else does not work. I run on a single GTX 960 4GB and the system I am using is about 5 weeks old. This issue hadn’t started until about 3 weeks ago. At first, it only had the issue while using Skype. Now the issue is system wide. I will include a screenshot to show you what I mean just so you have a visual. The GPU has an overclock on it but even before I overclocked, Battlefront still had this issue. Even if I turn off the overclock, the issue still persists. I have reinstalled Battlefront as well, but it was nothing but a waste of time as it did not help either. It displays properly in Windowed Borderless, but I suffer from major frame rate loss even on the menu.

The 19201080BattlefrontWindowed.png is what it looks like single monitor.(Keep in mind it only work in 1920x1080 in windowed mode)

The SurroundBattlefrontFullscreen.png is what Surround looks like in full screen. (4080x768)

95% percent of the time, this issue happens. Only 3-4 time during these past 3 weeks has the game displayed on all three screens correctly. The game has the May update and the 960 has the latest NVidia drivers from today (5/5/2016 10:10PM EST)

Specs:
Windows 10 Pro
8GB DDR4 2800MHz
GTX 960 4GB - OC - 1.2GHz
Intel Core i5-6600K @ 4.6GHz
3x Dell E2211H Monitors 5760x1080 (I play at 4080x768 for better FPS)

Game Settings:
Everything set at High gives me about 50-70FPS in Surround

@thebradismad Hey, that is odd. As far as I'm aware the game will generally run fine on the triple-screen setups, and as you say it intermittently runs without issues.

I'd try sticking with the declocked CPU, then do a clean driver reinstall and a clean boot for good measure.

Do you have any other games that you can test in such ultra-widescreen resolutions, do they have the same issue?

  • @EA_David Hi, I have declocked the CPU and reinstalled the graphics drivers.  I contacted EA support and they said they would be able to help but still no reply yet from the 2nd level tech support. All other games such as Steam games run fine. Battlefront is the only Origin Game I have. It is also the only game that has this issue. Games like GMod, and CSGO run fine with no issues.
