What components were you using? Was trying to use Warthog Joystick and Throttle and VKB Rudder pedals (without success) :-(

I have 7 game controllers attached, but the game only allows me to choose from (presumably) the first four it encounters when it enumerates the list of available controllers.
My flight stick, rudder pedals and throttle are apparently at the wrong end of that list and as a result are not made available for mapping in-game.
Help me !!
I've got a thrustmaster t-flight HOTAS One ...
It doesn't seem to be detected by the game ... thrustmaster control panel shows all buttons and axis' are functioning properly, it works great in every other game (Elite Dangers, Warthunder, Su25, DCS, etc) except when I launch Star Wars Squadrons, the game just stares at me with press any button to continue unless I use a different controller or a keyboard mouse
I've spoken with the EA support team, and they're claiming this game doesn't officially support controllers, yet it says it does on the website so is this just a hot pile of garbage?
Any suggestions?
