What components were you using? Was trying to use Warthog Joystick and Throttle and VKB Rudder pedals (without success) :-(

I have 7 game controllers attached, but the game only allows me to choose from (presumably) the first four it encounters when it enumerates the list of available controllers.
My flight stick, rudder pedals and throttle are apparently at the wrong end of that list and as a result are not made available for mapping in-game.

What do you expect to see? The ability to select devices from all connected DX devices, not just the first four populated.

Unable to bind HOTAS controls due to the correct controls not being shown in the controls menu.
The controls menu only allows selection of four different devices. Which four devices is not an option, it just picks the first four out of a list, possibly by PID/VID (which is set arbitrarily by Windows 10), then allows you to choose from those four. In my case, none of these four are the primary HOTAS controls I need to use for Squadrons, so I cannot assign inputs from these controls to commands in the game.
It is not easy for me to unplug additional devices just to play one game, as anyone else with a sim pit of their own would understand.
For this reason, I have returned Squadrons for a refund. I may consider purchasing again if some of the HOTAS issues are fixed, but as is, I am unable to play.
There are many, many people with more than four DX devices connected to their PC. Flight simmers (like me) love to have a multitude of different controls, ranging from joysticks to throttles to button boxes. Many users also have HOTAS controls with their own additional virtual DX devices. Allowing users to choose between any DX device connected to the system would alleviate problems with not seeing correct devices in the list of four.
