What happens when the bug occurs? Game controller unavailable for mapping
What do you expect to see? My game controller amongst the list of mappable controllers.
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." none
What components were you using? Was trying to use Warthog Joystick and Throttle and VKB Rudder pedals (without success) :-(
Which customizations (if any) were you using? None
I have 7 game controllers attached, but the game only allows me to choose from (presumably) the first four it encounters when it enumerates the list of available controllers.
My flight stick, rudder pedals and throttle are apparently at the wrong end of that list and as a result are not made available for mapping in-game.

What happens when the bug occurs? The game will not recognise the input from the rudder pedals even though the pedals are correctly identified in the controls menu (scroll to the very bottom for list of input device). The best I have managed is to get the game to register a *single* axis direction on the pedals (eg I can yaw right, but not left).
What do you expect to see? I expect to see YAW right on the +Z axis and YAW left on the -Z axis
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." no
What components were you using? Warthog Joystick Warthog Throttle MFG Crosswind rudder
Which customizations (if any) were you using? None
Systematic problem getting game to correctly register rudder pedals as a valid input device.
I have the following case:
Thrustmaster Warthog joystick.
Thrustmaster Warthog throttle.
MFG Crosswind rudder pedals.
USB mouse + keyboard.
When I have all those devices plugged in the behaviour in-game is:
Joystick axis and buttons all register in-game and can be assigned actions.
Throttle axis and buttons all register in-game and can be assigned actions.
Rudder pedals only register in a single direction (ie I can assign 'yaw right', but when I try to assign 'yaw left' to the opposite rudder motion the game does not register any input)
Mouse pointer is not visible or useable on screen unless I hold down the right mouse button continuously.
If I remove the Warthog throttle and stick and just have the pedals, mouse and keyboard attached:
Rudder pedals recognised and I can assign yaw direction without problems on the + and - rudder axis (and pedal action as well).
Mouse pointer fully visible and works nominally
Switching out the Warthog HOTAS + MFG Crosswind pedals and replacing it with the standard plastic Thrusmaster HOTAS (with twist on joystick for yaw):
All joystick and throttle axis are recognised and can be assigned
Mouse works nominally
Sadly the plastic joystick is nearing the end of it's life, is very spongy and not that precise - I would really like to be able to use the Warthog/rudder combo that I use without problem in *literally* every other flying-style game that I own. Right now if I want to switch game I have to unplug/replug a bunch of stuff before I start.

What happens when the bug occurs? Can not map right yaw
What do you expect to see? push right peddle be able to yaw right
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." none
What components were you using? Thrustmaster T-Pendulum peddles
Which customizations (if any) were you using? none
The game is insistent on a positive and negative axis for control inputs. The Thrustmaster T-Pendulum peddles only opperate in the positive range, thus it is impossible to map the rudder peddles to right roll. This means i have to use my toe break controls for yaw movement. this requires me to lift my feet off the floor and hold them at an awkward position just to fly fully.
