Origin can't update my game

Product: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug I can't update Jedi Fallen Order, all I get is "Origin needs to download files and is waiting for permission. Please choose "Yes" when Windows prompts you for permission." And the prompt never comes up. The update just stays paused. I've reinstalled origin multiple times, I CAN'T uninstall the game, I've ran origin as administrator, I'm clueless at this point.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By getting through to origin and sort it out.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't update the game, it stays paused.
What do you expect to see? The update resuming and finishing.

    Thanks for the suggestions, ErikuMusic, but the problem still persists for me.  I'm almost thinking that I need to take drastic measures, such as reformatting my PC and starting from scratch.  I have noticed a few other bugs or errors that seem out of place in my PC as of late.  Perhaps my problem is Windows 10 or something else.

    Well, I went through the arduous process of resetting everything back and I am happy to say that Origin is finally allowing me to install games.  Apparently, whatever was going on had something to do with my PC.  Although I still feel I shouldn't have to resort to such extreme measures just to play a few games, lol.

    I noticed that the most recent update of Windows 10 is giving me these errors.  Once I rolled back to the previous version of Windows 10 Origin started working again like it should.

    Can't update Fallen Order. Have disabled defender and anti virus. Have reinstalled to new directory outside of the main program files directory. Have had to reinstall "BOTH" the origin client and Jedi Fallen Order every time there is an update. Honestly I'm done. I'm 30 hours in and love the game, but I'm done. I have battle.net and steam. Nether of which cause me any trouble installing or updating there games.

    I would add that I see this same issue from others in reddit and the steam forums.

    OriginWebHelperService is probably borked.

    disable it by "MSconfig>Services>Hide Microsoft services box and turn off Origin Client Service & Origin Web Helper Service" then restart PC.

    Upon starting the game agree to start OriginClientService again.

    I had this problem today.

    Fixed it by turning off Focus Assist for Games in the windows settings

    Thanks everyone!  It used the above suggestions and my games are installing/updating just fine now.
