Pay $10 more for more game

I think anyone here would agree that they would drop $10-$20 more on this game for more actual game.

I’m not sure how large the community of this game is, but I personally think the base of this game is great, it just needs to be expanded upon.

I really hope this isn’t the final end product of Squadrons, as it seems more like a teaser for what could be a great game. I’m going to keep posting feedback and suggestions with the hope that they add to the game.

@Jubu_Dar I don't think everyone would agree at all. No thanks, I'm already down 35 quid. Weeks after the launch the game is still not in a playable state unless you're running a 60hz monitor.

Look at the steam numbers for concurrent players. Gone from 35k to around 4k in 3 weeks. Might jump up a bit if they ever fix the game breaking issues.

How do you not have a 60hz monitor? Can you even get monitors with lower refresh rate anymore?

What game breaking issues? Yeah there are issues, but most games have them when they first come out.

@Jubu_Dareh? Lower than 60hz??? No, I've got a better monitor that runs above 60hz...and also VR runs at a higher refresh rate than 60hz.

Are you saying I should purchase a 60hz monitor just to play this game? What about VR...the thing they said it was built from the ground up for...

Theres launch issues which are acceptable and understandable. Then theres releasing a game you knew was utterly broken above 60hz and sold it amyway without warning anyone. Then theres the joystick issues...and alot of people not being able to get past level 9 without an infinite loading screen.....the ranking issues in online...the fleet tutorial not working....i could go on...

I mean...have a look the technical and bug sections...

Although I'd have happily paid an extra $10-20 from the start if they'd given this game the budget and dev time it deserved.

  • @Jubu_DarI Sure! love Star Wars Squadrons. I'll gladly put down $40-$60 on a sequel, even additional money on a collector addition, with exclusive content (that doesn't impact player competitiveness, like exclusive cosmetics for ships and players) I would absolutely buy an expansion, even if it costs more than $10 to $20.

I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan. I love Star Wars snubfighters and all the other neat ships. I also love multiplayer combat flight sim games, so Star Wars Squadrons is something I will enjoy for many years. Over a period of years, I could easily see myself spending hundreds of dollars on new expansions, sequels, all kinds of content related to the Star Wars Squadrons series, so long as the Dev Team keeps the content coming. =)

I guess I’m just a poor guy with a regular 60hz monitor, no hotas, no vr. The game works great for me. I get what you’re saying though, and yeah it should work as advertised. For now you can still play, just don’t use vr and set your refresh rate to 60hz if you can. To me the graphics look good still. The base game mechanics are good, I think the game could be expanded upon though.

@Jubu_Dar Aha sorry my post did come across a bit rude, I wasnt mocking your 60hz monitor like a tech snob 🙂

I got a refund in the end, once you've played it in VR it's difficult to go back and play it flatscreen. Shame really, VR was made to blow tie fighters up in an Xwing.
