Last few days have played more and more with people hacking or using cheat mods. Putting 3-4k dmg into a interceptor that isn't shielded, kill cams with lasers doing 90% turns and the pilot never misses? Cmon. Everyone i discord with is getting frustrated and do not even want to play anymore.
Best thing to do is if you are on console turn off cross play in options. This way you only get players on your console and no more pc.

That's not cheating. That is a potential combination of lag, the fact that the kill cams are known to be hopelessly inaccurate, plus the known issue of the reticle not always turning red at the right time: That was *almost* fixed in this last patch, but they pulled it back at the last second, so clearly they're still working on it.

No, you will get only other people who have turned cross play off, which is pretty much nobody.
I have seen this as well, lasers doing 90 degree turns while the enemy ship goes straight. Shouldn't have been a kill but was.
This is not the fault of hacking. This is the fault of poor hit registration, likely as a result of lag. Have been experiencing this since day 1. Often times it is worse than others. If you play in Aus/NZ but go up against US or EU players you will have a hard time getting that killing blow.
Hackers and cheaters should get banned and picked up by EA eventually. It's a shame that they will just find another way to cheat. IF they but those resources into benefiting society the world would be in a better place.
Thats what I was thinking when I start to play. But You will get better with time and after a while you will be threated as cheater. When I start I have like 2-4 kills per game. Now after 50 hrs almost every game is 11-14. My personal best is 20. And like some guys said Replay cam sucks big time. One I was sure i was killed with one shot but in fact i was flying in straight line after a guy and was hoping i will kill him before my attacker will kill me. On Replay cam it was looks like he just shoot me with one shot.
So stay in game, practice and be positive. Sometimes You win, sometimes You lose.
Seen this in Ranked a bunch, we had our team of five shooting at a single X wing that seemed particularly resilient, each missile took 1 point of damage and the X wing finally went down, but each missile hit 5...4...3...2...1 like the hack was percentage based.
