PC opening ports help?

just got the game for PC and i'm having a bit of lag. apparently i need to open some ports on my PC for a better connection, except i've never done it before. i landed on this page http://help.ea.com/sg/article/online-ports-star-wars-battlefront/

idk if i have to copy all of those numbers into the thing or only specific ones or what?

and it's talking about opening them in windows firewall correct?

  • Hi @wazza_thadog

When you use a firewall — and you should 😉— you change the way your computer communicates with other computers on the Internet.

The firewall blocks all incoming communications unless you open a port in the Windows firewall to let a specific IP communicate with your computer.

For example, if you want to play online Origin games.🙂

And if you have a router ,you need to do this steps http://www.wikihow.com/Open-Ports

@wazza_thadog Hey, if you're looking to open ports you probably want to check out http://portforward.com/

Opening ports is done via your router, and this site has a lot of information on this, including guides for specific routers.

    Thanks.
