[PC] XBOX ONE Bluetooth controller not working properly

Game purchased on Epic Store.

Does not recognize the proper button presses from an XBOX One controller connected via Bluetooth. The controller is recognized as being connected by the XBOX Accessories Windows app, which reads the proper inputs in test mode, and other games work well. The game, however, recognizes the menu and change view buttons as A and B respectively. The rest of the button mapping is all over the place.

I had this issue already with Ubisoft's The Crew 2, and I wonder if it could be related to a problem with xinput support from games that are prepared to use directinput wheels or flight sticks.

Tried to pass the game through Steam, adding as a non-Steam game, but so far it hasn't worked (this solved the problem for The Crew 2). In any case, users shouldn't be expected to resort to this kind of workaround, and support for a Microsoft controller in Windows is the least I would expect...

  • I found out that when playing with the controller connected via USB the game recognizes it and works fine, so the problem happens exclusively when using the Bluetooth connection.

  • @QuantumCaptain I started having the same issue just now. Playing this morning was fine, but after using my Quest 2 to play VR, the Crew 2 doesn't have working controls ☹️
