It's a problem with Dogfights as well, especially if the player has a bad connection, which often makes them warp from one place to another (or even appear at two places at once) at times when they pinball around. Even if you hit them and the hit effect plays they often don't get any damage while they can easily fire away at you. Besides that it doesn't feel appropriate for Star Wars at all.
It isn't just PC players doing this, by the way, many console players are exploiting the same tactic very effectively.
There should be mechanics preventing such cheap, exploitive tactics.
- 4 years ago@Cave_Waverider agreed...I made this post from personal experience the other day against a whole team of pinballers. My guyd basically gave up tracking them and instead went for the AI enemy which is detrimental to your team because the pinballers where exploiting this broken ability while firing away at the capital ships that basically stand no chance tracking targets that constantly bounce around. That's what I suggested a way to counter that by giving the pinballer a complete power failure causing them to drift for a few seconds just as you drift while disabled by ion weapons. It's a huge problem for mid to top tier players that need to be addressed soon.
- 4 years ago@Cave_Waverider I cant agree more.
- 4 years ago@ghostmonk000 even though it is too late to ask about a change to that, it won't hurt the game to patch the excessive power shunting, pinball effect.
