Oversteering mainly comes from too big input delay.
high refresh rates, Gsync and a fast input to display route (good USB Drivers, wired, etc.) will decrease the effect a lot.
Are you sure that "oversteering mainly comes from too big input delay"? That *sounds* good, but why was it easier to steer 20 years ago?
I do not not think it all comes down to hardware. We are not talking about milliseconds here, but about the ship just continuing to drift for up to a whole second or more after you have brought the control back to center. I have noticed the effect is worse in less-maneuverable ships (the support craft). So, I think it is something they put in the game *purposefully,* crazy as it sounds. They have made the "maneuverability" rating about more than the angular momentum of turns. It seems to also be about general responsiveness to controls. I think they should change it to at least dial down the sluggishness effect by about 2/3 across the board.
